DRY TYPE TRANSFORMERS
The KTC Dry Type Transformer series represents environmentally friendly and safe energy solutions that operate without the use of insulating oil.
The transformer core is manufactured
from cold-rolled, grain-oriented silicon steel sheets and precisely processed using an automatic cutting line.
This ensures minimum core loss, low no-load current, and quiet operation, providing superior efficiency and performance.
The windings are made of copper conductors insulated with epoxy resin or NOMEX materials. This structure enables excellent resistance to high temperatures, humidity, and short-circuit forces. Additionally, the windings are completely impregnated under vacuum using the VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process, ensuring long service life and high insulation strength.
The dry-type transformers are suitable for 50/60 Hz systems and can operate in both indoor (-5 °C) and outdoor (-30 °C) conditions.
They are designed to function reliably at altitudes of up to 1000 meters above sea level.

KTC, in partnership with EREN Transformer, manufactures power transformers up to 150 MVA and 254 kV class.
All products are tested and certified by internationally recognized laboratories such as KEMA and CESI, and are produced under the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality Management Systems.
The dry-type transformers have also successfully passed the following tests:
- Short-circuit tests, withstand voltage tests, and temperature rise tests.
- They feature low noise levels and are supported by anti-vibration rubber pads to minimize mechanical vibration.
- The design is maintenance-free, requiring only periodic visual inspections during operation.
